Veronica was first introduced to yoga as a child, watching her dad practice in the living room. She explored yoga as a teenager to supplement her dance and became fascinated with it in graduate school as a way to relieve stress. Now she draws from yoga teachings daily to stay grounded in her physical therapy practice in a hectic hospital environment. Since becoming a physical therapist in 2009 she has been integrating yoga into her work with people in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2012. In the Fall of 2013, Veronica completed the Integrating Yogic Principles into the Delivery Healthcare workshop and felt an immediate connection with the philosophy of MBS. She has been volunteering as a yoga assistant for the adaptive yoga program at the Courage Center as her own personal workshop to learn techniques that she can bring to her physical therapy practice. She is honored for the opportunity to guide others through their own yoga practice.
