Christine Paul
Adaptive Yoga Instructor
In 2006, Christine met Matthew Sanford at his book reading and immediately knew she had found a unique and special teacher with a transformative message. That’s when her healing path began. Christine had tried various styles of yoga in the past, but quickly found comfort with Iyengar and has been practicing with Mind Body Solutions ever since. Her journey truly has been transformative — physically, mentally and spiritually. Her chronic back pain of more than 25 years is no longer an issue. As a former diver and gymnast, yoga allows her to once again experience her love for being upside down and to move and play with gravity. For the past seven years, Christine has worked as a career rehabilitation counselor, where she helps people with disabilities understand their strengths/limitations related to employment, plan their careers, and obtain and maintain employment.
For Mind Body Solutions, Christine is a volunteer for the adaptive yoga class at Courage Center and is a participant in the adaptive yoga training program at Mind Body Solutions. Her ENGAGING personality made her the perfect candidate to provide training on these principles to her peers by speaking at the Minnesota Rehabilitation Association and National Rehabilitation Association. In 2008, she was awarded Counselor of the Year through Rehabilitation Counselors Association of Minnesota. Christine has a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a graduate certificate in integrative health and wellness. She resides in Maple Grove with her husband, two teenage sons and a small cuddly dog.
